WIKING Miro 2+ Wood Burning Stove — Clean Danish Design in Three Configurations
The WIKING Miro 2+ wood burning stove shares its output and combustion system with the Miro 1+ — but takes a different design direction. Where the Miro 1+ uses a side glass panel to extend the flame view around one corner, the Miro 2+ focuses everything on a clean, front-facing glass door. As a result, it feels calm and composed — and fits more easily into alcoves, recesses, and tight wall positions where a side glass stove simply would not work.
WIKING® Autopilot™ — Combustion That Looks After Itself
The Miro 2+ runs on the WIKING® Autopilot™ combustion system. Rather than adjusting the air manually, Autopilot™ manages the burn cycle from start to finish on its own. Because of this, the stove keeps combustion clean and efficient at all times — delivering better fuel economy and less residue in the flue with every session.
The system delivers a 4.4kW nominal output and 75% efficiency, earning an A energy efficiency class rating. Furthermore, the Miro 2+ holds DEFRA exemption, so you can burn wood legally in a smoke control area. It is also fully Ecodesign compliant and certified to EN 16510 Type CA — meaning it supports a room-sealed, closed combustion installation drawing fresh air from outside via an optional external air kit.
Tighter Clearances — More Installation Flexibility
One of the practical advantages of the Miro 2+ over the Miro 1+ is its much tighter side clearance requirements. Because it has no side glass, the required side clearance drops to just 10cm with an insulated flue pipe — compared with 50cm on the Miro 1+. As a result, the Miro 2+ fits comfortably into alcoves and fireplace recesses where the Miro 1+ simply would not go.
This makes it a particularly strong choice for those planning an installation into an existing chimney breast or a tight recess. In those situations, tighter clearances make a real difference to what is and is not possible — and the Miro 2+ opens up far more options than a side glass stove would in the same space.
Three Configurations — Choose How You Want It to Sit
The pedestal version is the tallest at 110.8cm. It raises the firebox on a slender column, giving the stove a sculptural, elevated quality that works well in open-plan spaces and contemporary rooms where height and presence matter.
The plinth version sits lower at 78.2cm on a solid rectangular base. It feels clean and grounded, and suits flat wall installations where a more restrained profile fits better with the room.
The wall mounted version is the most striking of the three. At 71.2cm tall, it lifts the stove completely off the floor — keeping the space beneath it clear and creating a bold floating effect. It requires a minimum 30cm floor clearance, so confirm this with your installer before committing to a position.
