It has two functions, during the day when lit and closed It is conclusive that the Stûv 60 operates most economically (and in the most environmentally friendly way).  Its extensive surfaces diffuse heat without reaching excessive temperatures.

Then in the evening  the bottom section can be easily lowered to transform the Stûv 60 into a hearth.  You can even barbecue on a wood fire.

It has an output of 8 – 15Kw and an efficiency rating of 75%
